Architecture & Brand
We are excited to present our revised architectural and branding proposal for the modular development in Cotswold District Council, which builds upon our previously approved scheme for Cube Self Storage Cheltenham
Green Credentials
The redesign improves the layout by creating a more welcoming entrance to the site, enhancing its connection to the public realm. It introduces a 30-degree rotation of the cantilever container. It also integrates a corten-steel structure with a wire framework to allow plants to grow vertically, not only creating green walls but also providing shelter for the entrance to each container block. This will offer much-needed soft landscaping within the industrial estate and emphasise the development’s green credentials.
Additionally, the proposed design retains the inclusion of PV cells on the roof of each corten steel structure, aligning to establish an operationally carbon-neutral business.
Whilst the containers are a standardised product, our client emphasized a design-led approach for the development, aiming for a premium finish that sets it apart from competitors and establishes a prominent landmark within the industrial estate.
Brand Evolution
The brand concept has evolved as the goals and USP of the business have been identified and developed. Characterised by a vibrant and minimalist neon yellow hexagon on a dark background, the brand imagery borrows from the tech industry and reflects the ethos of innovation and forward-thinking. This colour scheme and branding choice aligns with the business’s promise to offer a self-storage experience that utilises the latest technology to offer a premium service.
