Originally constructed in the early 2000’s the interior required full remodelling due to the incoherent layout and poor finishes. In addition the exterior envelope performed very badly and needed a complete upgrade to improve energy efficiency.
Edge were appointed to provide architect and interior architecture services.
Internally the concept of the design is heavily influenced by our clients furniture and art collection, therefore all spaces were fully modelled in 3D to ensure each piece could be carefully integrated into the rooms, whilst preserving the ambiance of a relaxed family home.

All exterior walls were wrapped with insulation and timber cladding, and the flat roof replaced, allowing for the integration of P.V cells. New rooflights were added throughout to provide natural day lit rooms and reduce the need for artificial lighting.
The garden was also considered as an external room, to be enjoyed from many glimpse views within the house as well as a multi functional space within itself.
